While at the field Sunday I asked Dustin if he would like to fly my tribute which he did. I stood beside him watching pretty close until he flew by inverted and then the next pass he came by doing a great knife edge, then landed better than I do. I think we will enjoy watching his progress in the coming months. He is clear on his own.  Ken

Congratulation Dustin!!  Grin   Just wanted to add that Sunday wasn't the best flying conditions, winds were ""very very gusty"",  and Dustin handle the conditions very well.  We flew the T 28 and Corsair foamies and the wind made them a handfull!  I also let him fly the ultra stick and he greased the landing with all that wind!!!  I know his dad (Richard) is very proud of him. Dustin is a very fine young man with alot of natural talent.  We had alot of fun flying in all that wind, it keep your skills sharp and heart pumping!!!!!!  Ricky

yea it was prety windy sunday but i was very surprised at how the tribute cuts through the wind the t28 and ultrastick were the opposite they would go 100mph one way and 5ph the other way and always were having to correct them but wasnt scared flying the tribute it was kens and he said he had two hahaha     have to have a tribute Smiley

Hey Dustin,
You and your dad should have hung around alittle longer, the wind was really howling after you left,  took the Tribute up and about crashed it on takeoff, ugly!!  ask Spencer!!!!  First time for me to see a knife edge sitting in one spot!  Shocked  Phillip bought up a good point, don't let your plane get to far down wind, if for some reason you lose power, you will not be able to dead stick it to the airfield.  With that wind,   I would have picked it up at Rock Pond Campground!!!  Tongue  And the landing was ugly too!! Thank God the Tribute has metal landing struts,  about two feet off the ground with about 1/4 thottle power on to land, the wind hooked me to the right,  I corrected it in time for the wind to smack it down on the ground, poor landing gears was almost touching the wings, no damage to the plane!! Between Ken and myself, we have three tributes  new in the box.  Get them while they last!!  The Tributes have so much flight surfaces and power to weight ratio is what makes them so much fun to fly, windy condition or not, plus they are pretty cheap to replace if you do crash them!!!!!!!!! Well, if you call  $100 cheap!
